With the election behind us we turn our attention to the future of health care in a new political climate.

Several polls taken right before the election showed that tackling the coronavirus was one of the top issues on voters' minds. While the pandemic has laid bare the inequities in our health care infrastructure, it has also created conditions favorable for innovation and an evolution in care.

Other top health care issues include protecting coverage for pre-existing conditions, health care affordability, out-of-pocket costs, and the future of the Affordable Care Act.

As a new Congress convenes, how can we ensure our health system is ready for the challenges of the present and future? What policies must be enacted to address racial health disparities? How can the public and private sectors work together to promote inclusion and better health outcomes for underserved communities?

The Hill will gather policymakers, health officials and health care stakeholders for a conversation about health policy in the 117th Congress and the road ahead for America’s health care ecosystem.
